This service is free... yet this company convinced people to pay for it!
It's like the first person that figured out you could sell water
Launched in 2014, SuperHuman is a $30 per month email client that helps people spend less time trying to get to Inbox Zero and more time doing the job they’re paid to do.
We put them on our list for four reasons
Consumer interest
Sometimes the best way to find an interesting company is to see what companies interesting people are talking about. If you spend any time on VC/ Tech Twitter you will see so many people talking about SuperHuman. Something that speaks even more to that is now you see VC’s looking to fund people creating the SuperHuman of X
Founder
Rahul Vohra, the CEO of SuperHuman is seasoned. This is his second time creating a product in the email space. His first product Rapportive was purchased by LinkedIn for $15M after receiving only $1M in funding.
Size
Today SuperHuman has 57 employees, they’ve grown from 26 employees about two years ago. This is a great time to join a company. It means they’ve proven their viability as a business but there is still a lot of opportunity to own a good amount of equity. This is all without taking on as much risk as the VERY early employees. Check out our review of Kapwing for a better understanding of how the equity breaks down.
Investment/ VCs
SuperHuman raised 33M Series B in May 2019. This is shown as the total amount they have raised so far. I assume the earlier rounds were small or not disclosed.
Their VC’s are very reputable.
Launch the VC firm of Jason Calacanis which has backed great companies like Uber, Calm and Rahul Vohra’s first company Rapportive.
Andreesen Horowitz, one of the fastest growing, most reputable VC firms in Silicon Valley!
